                                                               Welcome to Sunny Ridge Farms 

We are a small farm located in the Blue Ridge Highlands in Franklin County Virginia. We raise the most beautiful Aussies you will ever see. With there quick senses and keen knowledge they are a must to have. They truly are the smartest dog. I have been around Aussies my whole life. My father has a ranch with about 20 or so head of horses. Up until a couple of years ago he never had a fence up he used his Aussies to keep them inside on his property.  They are used for loading and unloading livestock. Herding the horses into a corral or getting an ornery one out. If a horse gets to close to the road our Aussies are there to bring them back in. If a horse is giving us a hard time working with him our Aussies are there sensing when they are needed. I raise all kinds of livestock and they stay right by me as I do my daily chores. My Aussies help us in all aspects of running of our farm. Rounding up the chickens or sending a rooster back over to the neighbors. Rolling in Buffalo dung or something dead smelling and looking at you with such happiness. Running into Mr. Eyebrows(aka a skunk). Bringing in bones to chew on. To sitting on your porch and having a nose nuzzle you.  Fighting over who can get the closest. Watching wiggle butts. Seeing Snidleys famous smile. Proudly keeping a watchful eye out. They instantly know when they are needed, sometimes they know before we do. They are loyal and fierce protectors. I have grandkids who they love with all there might and watch my Aussies herd them sometimes. They are working dogs and my best friends. They  are there to greet me every morning and last one I see before I go in at night.
